The justice is yet not made…..

Last evening I had a discussion with someone over a cup of tea on the Bhopal Gas tragedy. It was a discussion cum case study which then went up to the dinner table and we ended it with the feeling of grief that stuck and blotted Bhopal with the blood of innocent lives.
After that, I was having continuous bombardment of thoughts and so I thought to pen down my mentation on the catastrophe- a tragic accident which swallowed generations of the generations. The photographs on the whole tragedy covered, won million bucks. The photographers got acclaimed. Undoubtly, the government grieved and made the best possible efforts in the form of mental, physical and monetary aid to make the state come out of this shock.
But the chapters on this disaster are being re-examined after the recent country court’s verdict over the meager compensation being given to the victims to cover the whole tragedy.
I may sound a true philanthropist but I feel oppugned towards the government about the whole incident. There are many questions that I feel this tragedy left unanswered….
Can the scant amount will ever be able to compensate the losses and the grief of a mother who is suffering from continuous miscarriages? Does this mean that we have tagged the prices on more than 25,000 lives that we lost? The photographs that won accolades, have the different stories of pain… did we hear them?? Will this ever assure the traumatized living bodies that we won’t have such incidents in future? Will there be still more compromises made in the name of profits at the cost of safety?
I feel that justice is yet to be made…

  1. u really jotted it down well. I really respect ur emotions but u must be aware of that behind every major "case" in our country, there are the political and entrepreneurial involvements. So, to some extent, the justice is biased and its in their hands to take any decision related to provide compensations. "After all when there is about money, there is always uncertainty."
